An accomplished athlete, entrepreneur and television personality by his mid 20’s, Doug Reinhardt showed a passion to excel in sports at an early age. By the time he reached high school Doug’s passion, matched with his ability and hard work began to get the attention of both colleges and professional scouts. Ultimately, he turned down a baseball scholarship with USC to sign with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim as their 8th pick of the 2004 MLB June Draft. During his three years of professional baseball, Doug had the misfortune of suffering multiple knee injuries, often requiring surgery. Instead of feeling down about his luck, Doug decided to use his injuries as an opportunity to re-focus on his academic career by enrolling in Pepperdine University. At the same time, he continued to pursue his professional baseball career as well, signing with the Baltimore Orioles for the 2007 Season.
It was while recovering from yet another surgery in 2008 that Doug was featured as a new cast member in the popular MTV reality series, “The Hills”. In spite of never having acted before Doug, jumped at the opportunity and quickly became a fan favorite.
While enjoying his time on television, Doug was unprepared for the amount of time the series would take out of his already busy schedule. Between an active shoot schedule and constant travel to build his two new businesses, Doug was left searching for a new way of keeping in shape that would fit his increasingly busy lifestyle.
That’s when Doug met Owen Evans. Owen, a certified kettlebell instructor, introduced Doug to quick and effective kettlebell routines that helped Doug to get into his best shape ever. Doug was so impressed by his own results; he decided to collaborate with Owen to create a quick effective workout. And, The Reinhardt Kettlebell System was born.
Doug has used RKS as his exclusive workout; training for activities such as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in 2010 as well as the “Fight for Humanity” charity boxing event at Cipriani Downtown in NYC of which he won.
